Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect any information you share when you contact us about AV consulting, Q‑SYS programming, and system design services.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you:

  • Fill out our contact form
  • Request a consultation
  • Communicate with us via email or phone

This information may include:

  • Name and contact information (email, phone number)
  • Company name and job title
  • Project details and requirements
  • Anti‑spam verification token (Cloudflare Turnstile)
  • Any other information you choose to provide

When you visit our website, some technical information is collected automatically for security and reliability, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. This may be logged by our hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare) and by Cloudflare Turnstile solely to protect the site from bots and abuse.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide our services
  • Prepare proposals, statements of work, and project communications
  • Improve our website and services, and prevent spam and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising or cross‑context behavioural purposes. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate our website and deliver communications, under agreements that require them to protect your data:

  • Cloudflare (Pages & CDN): hosts this website and provides security
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: verifies that a form submitter is human
  • Resend: delivers contact form emails to our inbox
  • When required by law or to protect our rights
  • In connection with a business transfer or acquisition

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels, remarketing tags, session‑replay tools, or social‑media trackers, and we do not show a cookie banner because there is nothing optional to consent to. The only things that run on dbavs.com are:

  • Cloudflare (hosting & CDN): may set a strictly necessary security cookie (such as __cf_bm) to protect the site from bots and abuse. It is not used to track you across other sites.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: runs only on the contact form to verify that a submission is human.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: a privacy‑first measurement tool provided by our hosting provider. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across sites; it reports aggregate page‑view counts only.
  • Google Fonts: when loading web fonts, your browser requests font files from Google's servers, which may log your IP address and basic request details. No cookies are set.

You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser preferences; the site works normally without them.

Your Privacy Choices

db AV Solutions Inc does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross‑context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. Under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar regulations, you still have the right to direct us not to do so, and we honour that right:

  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): because we set no optional cookies and do no cross‑site tracking, visitors who send the GPC signal are already treated exactly as they request. Nothing changes on our side, and nothing needs to be turned off.
  • Any other request: to opt out of any other processing, or to make a request on behalf of someone else, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy request”.

We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

How We Process and Store Data

When you submit a contact form, your details are verified by Cloudflare Turnstile and then sent to us via email using Resend. We do not store your submission in a database; we retain it in our email system to respond and manage your request.

Data Retention

We keep contact emails and related correspondence only for as long as necessary to respond to you, manage our engagement, and meet legal or operational requirements. If you would like us to delete your messages sooner, contact us at [email protected].

International Data Transfers

Our service providers (Cloudflare, Resend, and Google Fonts) may process data on servers located outside your province or country, including in the United States. We take steps to ensure your information is protected in accordance with this policy.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare (Pages & CDN): For hosting, security, and performance
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: For form spam protection
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: For cookieless, aggregate page‑view measurement
  • Resend: For email delivery
  • Google Fonts: For web fonts

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, and in particular under Canada's PIPEDA, British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, the GDPR, and US state privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Withdraw consent or object to processing
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Lodge a complaint with your privacy regulator (in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia)

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request.

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults, and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies), and we do not offer accounts, forums, or other features aimed at minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, for example through the contact form, please email [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
